Polker is the second IDO being hosted on TRONPad on June 25th

Anyone who’s been following my posts will know I invested in the TRONPad IDO (https://johnnie-jacks.medium.com/tronpad-research-6315c26a65ad) and participated in their first IDO, CrossWallet (https://johnnie-jacks.medium.com/crosswallet-research-65bd4b29f03a)

As someone who was in the presale for BSCPad (right at the beginning of BSC taking off earlier this year), being involved in TRONPad was a real no brainer for me

While the amount of launchpads has grown exponentially since BSCPad launched, the team obtained and has maintained a place as one of the premier options

Quick Recap on TRONPad and CrossWallet

TRONPad ($TRONPAD) launched on June 4 during a time when many launches we being postponed due to adverse market conditions

With a market cap at launch of just $119,250 it went on to do over 250x during the first day

it still sits at around 84x launch price now

Their first IDO (a dual IDO with BSCPad) was CrossWallet ($CWT) on June 17th

The market cap at launch was an even smaller $99,500

The price tapped 100x IDO price momentarily, settling in at around 30x for much of the first day and now sits around 16x

I think it’s reasonable to say that in the current market conditions, this was a pretty good start

What is Polker ($PLK)

POLKER (PKR) is the first blockchain online poker game that uses Unreal Engine 4 for immersive and powerful gameplay while utilizing a provably fair and TRNG system for truly transparent gameplay.

An innovative model to produce True Random Numbers (TRNs) in order to create a fair gaming environment during gameplay, fully backed by the unlimited potential of the blockchain.

With the power of the Unreal Engine 4, you will be fully immersed in stunning real-time graphics including multiple, highly detailed, dealers, environments, and visual effects.

Our players can play with multiple coins on any table supported with the ability to use their own coins to match other player’s actions. Players are not locked into using just a single coin during game-play.

Put simply, it is an online Poker platform that utilizes blockchain technology and allows users to play using various different crypto coins as collateral

What is the Roadmap

The team first presented their idea during Q4 2018, so have been building for some time

They have since had 2 patents issued (here and here) for “Online gaming platform integrated with multiple virtual currencies”

Although patents are generally difficult to enforce, probably even more so in crypto than traditional industries, this may give them some moat that protects them from direct competition

The game does not appear to be playable at this time but according to the roadmap will go live in Q4 2021

The full roadmap can be found here https://www.polker.io/about-us/#roadmap

The Team

The team is large, comprising of 16 people in the core team and 6 advisors.

Links to each of their Linkedin profiles are shared on the website, so the project has the advantage of not only having patents granted (and therefore the names of those they were granted to) but also public team members.

More details can be seen here https://www.polker.io/about-us/#team

The $PKR Token

Polker Token is a public token that can be used to purchase store items, NFTs collectible assets, VIP tier brackets, and game character assets. Players will be able to stake their tokens to participate in our VIP program, earn rake-back bonus, discounts, and our NFT monthly airdrops.

One of the interesting elements of the $PKR token is that it reduces fees for playing on the platform on a sliding scale similar to $BNB and trading fees on Binance

Whitepaper

The whitepaper can be found here https://www.polker.io/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/Polker-Whitepaper.pdf

Summary

I am not an online poker player, so the specifics of how it goes up against other poker platforms isn’t something I can reasonably consider

What I am most interested in is whether the launch will do well based on the project, current market conditions and the history of TRONPad (and to some degree BSCPad) launches

I think the project itself seems well put together with a public team, patents granted and it has a good following on social media (54k on Twitter and 46k on Telegram)

The market cap at launch is just $118,125, following the trend with TRONPad of launching projects with very low initial market caps

CrossWallet was an unknown project with far fewer details than this one and did well

In the meantime (of course this can change at any time!) market conditions and sentiment seem to be (slightly) more positive than they were during both the TRONPad and CrossWallet launches

That being the case, I am very interested to see how this launch turns out.

I believe the signs are positive enough that I will be participating myself and have taken part in a Private Round for the project
